CARNIVAL GLASS

Carnival Glass was first produced by Fenton in 1907, and it continues to be made today.  Carnival Glass is pressed glass that has had an iridescent coating applied.  Without this coating, it is not classified as carnival glass. There were several glass comapnies that produced carnival glass in the early 1900s, but only Fenton remains in business.  There are many patterns and colors wothin the carnival glass category, and it is often difficult to figure out what is what in the carnival glass world.  The pieces are beautiful, and it is easy to see why it is popular with collectors.
